Look Mum! draws on the explosive emotions absorbed from the ‘fridge worthy pieces’ of our childhood. The freedom, enjoyment and pride that came from creating art simply for the satisfaction of seeing it displayed on the family ice box, in all it’s splendour. No grand concepts, no world changing messages. Just creating for creation sake.
Pieces, in their prime positions, ready for the frothy ‘Oohs’ and ‘Aahs’ of Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Aunties, Uncles, Nans, Pops and snotty cousins draw inspiration from original childhood artworks and stories, cherished toys, mind-numbing games, loved pets, awkward family portraits, favourite movies and can’t-miss TV shows.
